By purchasing any tier of MDB5 you get the previous PRO version of MDB4 for free. Built with Bootstrap 4, older, but still most widely used version, based on React 17. MDB5 also integrates with React 17, but MDB4 is ideal if you work in a preexisting Bootstrap 4 environment.

No, you don't have to renew and you can keep using what you have forever.
A yearly payment covers only the Premium Access features.
The most important one of them is "Updates" because we are regularly adding a tone of cool stuff to the package, but instead of releasing new products every month we chose to make all of the new components, plugins & features compatible with each other and pour all of the energy into a single high-quality product.
Remember that 12 months of Premium Access is included in your first purchase but if you still need Updates, Premium Support or any other features you can renew your subscription and you will keep getting them.
For some projects the initial 12 months is enough. Developers of bigger & more complex projects usually appreciate the option to keep extending their technical support.

Commercial Usage
Tiers with commercial usage are eligible to be used in any kind of projects. Tiers without commercial usage cannot be used in an end product that charges its end users or an end product that is sold.
Projects
The project is defined as a domain / app. Even with 1 project you can have multiple subdomains.
I.e. with 1 project you can publish your app on example.com domain, and have an additional module at module.example.com domain.
If number of projects is unlimited you can use MDB tools in as many projects as you like, so you can have example.com, module.example.com but also example2.com, example.de and any other variation.
Project registration
If project registration is required, you have to register your project before publishing. You can do that by writing to contact@mdbootstrap.com. If project registration is unlimited, it means that you don't have to register new projects - you can publish them at will.
MDBGO Hosting
If MDBGO hosting is required your project has to be hosted on the platform. Basic hosting on MDBGO is free. If MDBGO hosting is unlimited, we invite you to host on MDBGO since you'll get a variety of additional perks that come with it, but you are also free to choose any other provider for your project.
License members
License members are defined as developers that will be working with MDB code by modifying or changing it in any way. It usually means that all frontend developers in your team, that will be developing using MDB are license members.
Team management
With team management you can easily assign and control your team access via GitLab, it helps automate the builds, integration, and verification of your code.
License recycling
With License Recycling you can control and re-assign licenses to new members of your team. I.e. if person A is no longer involved in a project, you can reassign their license to person B without purchasing a new license.
Enterprise eligibility
Businesses with more than 250 employees OR more than $10 millions in annual revenue, are required to purchase an Enterprise license. It allows unlimited use of the software throughout the organization.
