"nailea what the f*ck do i do." neveah stressed.
they were sitting in the living room, waiting for mattia and larray to come back from target so they could start filming a video.
"what do you mean what do you do!" nailea groaned. "you ignore him."
"you ignore him just like how you've ignored him for the past 3 years." nailea pressed. "he's still the disgusting chris that broke your heart. just because mattia is thinking of asking you to marry him soon does not change how much of an asshole chris is."
"do you think it was a mistake?" nev asked.
"what was?"
"ignoring chris for so long." she said. "i had so many chances to go back to him when me and matti weren't serious."
"do you think it was?" nai gave her a knowing look. "if you had the chance, would you go back and change all of it?"
"to be with chris? yes."
they heard a plastic bag thud, "what." a man's voice said.
"oh no." nai winced.
"you think?"

"okay, so, basically, you regret me." mattia concluded.
"no!" she stood up. "not you. i regret not forgiving chris. maybe if i did end up forgiving him, i'd come to peace with all of it, and i wouldn't be in love with him."
"you're in love with him!" mattia gaped.
"cut the crap, don't act like you don't miss vic!" she rolled her eyes.
"don't you dare bring her into this." mattia stood up. because of their height difference, he was looking down at her and it was kind of intimidating.
"the walls are very f*cking thin in this house." nev informed.
"unfortunately." larri commented. him and nai were sitting down on the couch, watching their fight like it was a movie.
"so what?" mattia scoffed.
"i hear you calling ale and telling him how much you miss her. i hear you f*cking calling her saying you regret the breakup, how you broke up over some stupid sh*t. at least i had the decency to break contact with him!"
"you can call girls without the phone call being romantic, you know." he said sassily.
she scoffed and pulled out her phone.
"now that's bad." nai said, earning a nod from larri.
neveah played the video and left everyone speechless. the voices were a bit unclear, but it was obvious that it was mattia speaking.
"i love you, vic." mattia sniffled. "i miss you, baby. nobody gets me like you do."
"aww, matti.." vic cooed, "i'm always gonna be available for you, you know. whenever you break up with what's her face, i'll be waiting."
"it's not easy as you think."
"whatever!" she laughed. "when you ditch that stupid bitch, call me."
"not romantic, huh?" she yelled, face red.
"what the f*ck!" mattia yelled. "why the f*ck would you record that?"
"in case i needed to prove a f*cking point!" she yelled back. "i knew you'd gaslight me and manipulate everyone into thinking you're the best boyfriend ever. at least I'm owning up to not being the best girlfriend. why are you acting all innocent?"
mattia stayed silent. he sat back down on the couch, covering his face with his hands.
"why didn't you break up with me? this happened a while back."
"because i loved you." she said, a tear rolling down her cheek. "i didn't care that i wasn't your number one girl. you made me feel so f*cking loved, it was incredible. i didn't wanna let go of that."
"and now?"
"i think i have to." she admitted, "it would
be unfair to me, you, chris, and vic."very discreetly, nai and lar got up and walked away. they felt like it was getting a bit too serious.
nev sat next to mattia. "matti, it's best if we break up."
"yeah, i think so too." he sniffled.
"hey." she said, making him look at her. "you'll always have a huge place in my heart, you know?" she wiped a tear off his face.
"i'll always love you." he admitted. "i'm a terrible boyfriend, i know, but i'll still always love you."
"i'm not the best girlfriend either." she rested her head on his shoulder, and hugged his arm. "can't really judge."
they sat there for a while until mattia broke the silence. "i don't wanna let you go."
"i don't wanna let you go either, but just know that it's for the better." she comforted.
"we can still be friends, right?" he asked.
"of course!" she nodded. "you're my best friend, matti. you always will be."
